Many eligible products purchased from Amazon.com may be returned. Depending on the seller, item, or reason for return, you might see different return options when making a return.

What Is Their Return Policy?
Here are the important details:
- You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return items for free for a full refund if the item is defective, damaged, or the incorrect product.
- Items must be sold and/or fulfilled by Amazon directly, otherwise, the customer has to pay for return shipping, MAYBE. For more information, see below.
The return policy does NOT apply to international shipping.

The VAST majority of stuff bought between October 1st – December 31st can be returned all the way until January 31.

How To Return Amazon Package?
Step1. Open Amazon

If the item is still returnable, the option will be shown next to it.
Step 4. Tick The Box Next To The Item/s You Want To Return

Step 5. Select A Reason For The Return And Click Continue
The drop-down menu allows you to select one, after which you can enter any additional details in the box below.
Step 6. Choose A Refund Option And Click Continue
This can be done in the form of an exchange, a credit to your card, or a refund to your Amazon account.
Step 7. Choose A Delivery Method
Several pick-up and drop-off options will likely be provided to you, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your needs.
Step 8. Hit Confirm Your Return
Then, to return your package to Amazon, just adhere to the directions provided based on your selected delivery method.
How Long Do I Have To Return An Amazon Order?
Within 30 days of receiving your package, you can return the majority of orders to Amazon. If you’re unsure, check this number first before ordering because it can change depending on the product.
Can I Return My Order Without Paying Anything?
Amazon will cover the cost of returning an item to its warehouse if it was sold or shipped out as part of your order by Amazon.com. When you request a return, you will frequently get a free pre-paid returns label.
With prices starting at £3.99 in the UK and £8.09 elsewhere, some items, however, might be subject to a return fee. Orders that include numerous or large items will have a higher price. Once more, you should check the specific item to confirm.
Do I Have to Pay Return Shipping Charges?

However, if you start a live chat and start the return that way, there is a good chance that you won’t have to pay return shipping costs.

Can You Abuse Their Return Policy?
Absolutely, YES.
If you frequently return items you purchase, Amazon may become aware of this and may flag your account, preventing further returns for a predetermined period of time.
Additionally, Amazon reserves the right to take action against you if you request a return but never actually send the item back. However, I don’t believe they would notice unless you did this frequently.
The action they’ll take is to check the “concessions limit” of the seller.
For illustration, the cap might be $500 or $1000. Amazon actually has a team that researches your returns and comes up with the specific dollar amount for policy “abusers”.
If you cross this limit, Amazon will mark your account as “concession abuse”.
In other words, you fall into this category if you frequently violate Amazon’s policy and only ever contact them for a refund or discount.
Once your account is marked “Concession Abuse”, no returns will be accepted on any orders made by you in the future.
Concerned about being prohibited? You will first receive a warning email from Amazon.
Your account will be permanently suspended if you continue to violate their policies.
What Is The Electronics Return Policy?
You can return consumer electronics and computers to Amazon within 30 days of purchase.
You won’t be responsible for the return shipping costs if the item is being returned due to a defect, an inaccurate description, or the delivery of the wrong item.
Be aware that you may get hit with a restocking fee if the item is damaged due to misuse, missing parts, or unauthorized tampering.
Which Products Cannot Be Returned?
This list is quite extensive due to the wide variety of products that Amazon sells.
– Grocery/Prime Pantry products – You cannot return perishable foods like produce, dairy products, or meats.
– Live Insects – You’re stuck with your ladybugs or ants unless they turn up dead.
– Downloadable Software – This prevents users from downloading the program and then uninstalling it.
– Gift Cards – Fortunately, they function much like money.
– Online Subscriptions – This applies to Prime Student, Kindle Unlimited, and Amazon Prime.
– Hazardous Materials or Gas – Direct communication with the manufacturer is required.
– Some Personal Care Items – Not certain which particular items.
– Pet Food – Not returnable, but you may be entitled to a refund if the food is defective.
– Live Plants/Fresh Flowers – Before ordering that house plant, be certain you want it.
– Some Jewelry Items – Consider engraved, non-resellable jewelry.
– Stuff Missing the UPC or Serial # – If this information is deleted as a result of tampering, you are stuck with the item.
If you order one of these non-returnable items and it arrives damaged or defective you should contact Amazon to get a resolution to the problem.
